...this video seems to have raised some questions.
The person speaking does seem to have some knowledge of guns, so I hope those that have some background in weapons will enlighten me. I simply don't have the ability to evaluate his claims.
Once again, the Hollywood Elite come out for Gun Control (or, as the Normals like to call it - Gun Confiscation).Go, check out the link - doesn't that picture of Julianne Moore just REEK of Elitist Privilege and Entitled Class Superiority?
Julianne Moore demanded elected officials take action to ensure there are fewer guns on the street. She also pushed for police reform and more mental health services. “If our representatives don’t do all of the above vote them out. We don’t have to live like this,” she wrote.
What do you mean WE, White Lady? I'm PRETTY sure that this home has security on it - backed up by armed men who WILL respond if and when the place is breached.
I assume that she, personally, has not given up her home security systems, her armed escorts in public, her determination to insulate herself and her family from any contact with the People with Guns (a surprising number of whom are Black - say what you will, my contention is that Black People are at least as smart as the average white person - and they aren't dumb enough to divest themselves of the fruits of the 2nd Amendment).
That's also true of many Leftist politicians - they're against the average person having access to means of protection, but, boy, you BETTER not tell them to give up their own security!
Milk is Racist (so - what ISN'T?).
Of course, I have some bias in this - I'm Northwestern Euro by heritage, the place where cows were common, and milk is part of much of the regional cuisines. For those who can tolerate it, milk is a vital part of a good diet - well-balanced in nutrition, contains significant quantities of protein in its solider forms (cottage cheese, hard cheese, yogurts).
I also have no problem with requiring that alternatives be available for the lactose-intolerant in every school, when milk-based meals are served. That's just reasonable. For that matter, it wouldn't be horrible to serve lactose-free milk in every school - that would solve the problem of some people having digestion problems.
But, don't ask/demand that the rest of us give up those sources of nutrition just because others can't handle it. That's unreasonable.
That SC soldier who - for absolutely NO reason at all - yelled at and even pushed that INNOCENT Black Man in plain view?Eh, not QUITE what it was said to be. Read more at the link.
Every time the meme goes out - Brutal White Person Goes KKK on Innocent Black Person - you find, after that "Brutal White Person" (BWP) has his life ruined, that the story was NOTHING like it was reported.
They never apologize, or make amends for their "mistake". Why, it ALMOST makes you think it wasn't a terrible mistake!
Finally, some common sense about the White Racism of cops, who ONLY kill Black People, because Hate.Zero Hedge is one of those sites that I occasionally visit - generally in response to some clickbait (hey, I'm as susceptible as the next woman!).
Here, I personally doubt that the gloomy stats on the independence of the young are as promoted:
- Since the range of ages runs from 18-34, that doesn't take into account that the youngest of these 'kids' - those under the age of 26, who are likely either attending college/training, in the military (and, hence, with their permanent home listed as mom and dad's), or just starting out on a career, is much the same as those that preceded them. Which makes them not all that different from those on the threshold of leaving the nest from previous generations.
- Some of these people may have:
- Lost roommates, and had to return home
- Lost a job, and had to return home
- Gave up on independent living, seeing as they were working non-stop and seldom even returned home
- Needed assistance with childcare/homeschooling, after the Entitled Betters decided to shut down those places
- Been medically fragile, and needed a no-cost place to ride out the pandemic
- Some likely moved back with the parents, as the folks needed help - that generation, from 18-34, has parents significantly older than previous generations. They are caring for people who are the age of previous grandparents.
- This doesn't differentiate those who moved into the parents' home, vs. those who brought their parents into THEIR home.
Don't forget to read Wilder, Wealthy, Wise blog - MWF posting.
And, take a minute to remember this day - the FIRST Shot Heard Round the World. That FIRST time the Legal Government tried to take the guns away from Americans.
The Left better remember that - there are even more of us on the side of Freedom now.
