Wading into the Infrastructure Mess

To begin with the Cargo Crisis on the West Coast:

So, what is going to happen in the meantime?

America is going to have a LOT less foreign-made products in its supply chain.

That's going to hurt the mega-stores - Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, and Amazon - a lot. Perhaps too much to continue competing with the smaller retailers.

Tech items will not be built overseas. HOWEVER, it is possible for the chip and other smaller components to travel to the USA via other means - mostly plane. Assuming that the Biden administration doesn't completely kill the airline industry (that's a BIG assumption for a malevolent and incompetent group of people), we may be able to give a big jump-start to American manufacture.

That's assuming that this ID-Ten-T's can be rooted out ASAP.

This has, then, major potential to boost American manufacture AND to de-corporatize American food production. And, let's be honest - SOME American companies and farming businesses may fail, perhaps never to return.

That's the natural course of American business - the long rise, and the precipitous fall. Birth and Destruction.
