Good advice from Nitzakhon, over at Liberty's Torch.
I have to agree. There are so many out there who are flat-out lying/attempting to deceive - in business, in government, in the media. You just can't trust them to not use their access to push their agenda - and, that agenda is usually hidden.
In other news, expect the Biden administration, probably through either the Interior Dept. or the EPA - or both - to hijack this 'crisis' to impose sweeping rules on the REST of the country's water supplies.Am I a "Crisis Denier"?
No. For the farmers and others who are experiencing this problem, it IS a crisis, that may well cost them their livelihoods.
However:
- This could have been mitigated, if not prevented, by strategic preparation, in the form of reservoirs during the too-much-water years. That's their purpose - to smooth out the highs and lows, and create a more stable ecosystem.
- Any regulations will be expanded to affect those states EAST of the Mississippi River. Take a look at the graphic below:
- Notice that the dry parts of the US are not evenly distributed. East (and for a long distance West) of the Mississippi, the landscape is a lush, green vista. Occasionally, a small section will have what I'd term semi-drought conditions, when the reservoirs and water levels of lakes and rivers is lower than normal. That may last a brief time, or for several years. But, within a relatively short time, the skies will open up, the water pour in (sometimes, way too much), and the ecosystem will return to its natural green. Most of that area needs little irrigation, and is well-suited to growing those crops needing plentiful water.
- The Plains areas, and the Southwest, are more generally dry. They need irrigation, as the rains are sporadic and unpredictable.
- Lower CA, and OR and WA, except for the coast, are often dry as a bone.
White’s husband Rusty Jenkins said he reported White missing when he didn’t return from his workout.
"When he wasn’t home by 6:45, I was panicking," Jenkins told WFAA in November. "I got in the car at 7, drove the route back and forth trying to find him. Trying to find evidence of a wreck somewhere. I was calling the hospitals, trying to find out if there was an unidentified John Doe in any of the hospitals because I didn’t know if he had his ID with him or not."
I mean, come on! People might stop off for gas, some coffee, or any other errand. They might have run into a friend. Panicking within such a short time does raise my suspicions.
Eh. Maybe I read too many murder mysteries.
Well, would you look at that! A BBC 'journalist' faked documents to get an interview! Sounds to me like the Queen is owed an apology.NOT labeled as Opinion, although it is rabidly partisan. Typical CNN - bet it gets a big boost from the Bots on social media.I could keep this going for some time, but I have a life (sort of) to live.
