Given the continued efforts of The Left to censor and squash any attempts to go around the Official Truth, we may have to begin looking at our own American Samizdat for the Non-Compliant.
Some already exist. Vox Popoli has long had his by-subscription-only, paid alternative to social media, YouTube, Amazon, and Wikipedia. There are others.
For most of us, using the ‘free’ services is easier and cheaper than selecting the paid services. But, it has been - truly, I think - that if you get something for ‘free’, then YOU are the product. Your information, their control.
I'll be posting more on this in the future. Feel free to add other Alt-Cyber-Structures to the comments.
Speaking of structures, there's a nifty one that The Left is making FULL use of. NGOs that are NOT IRS-approved tax exempt organizations, can be "fiscally sponsored" by a tax-exempt organization. Here is an example of one such organization, that was sponsored by a tax-exempt organization led by a terrorist - an actual convicted terrorist.
Of course, you won't here about that terrorist's crimes, nor her connection to the radical organization BLM. Please follow the link - it's a perfect example of why the tax code needs to be changed. It needs to happen in two stages - first, plug the points that permit Leftist organizations to use tax-exempt status to finance their radical, political organizations. NO fiscal sponsorship permitted.
That would include closing the ability of tax exempt organizations to funnel cash to other, non-tax exempt NGOs, through grants/loans. ALL cash stays with the original organization.
That, alone, would shut down many of The Left's radical activities.
Second, bring on the Flat Tax. Allow LIMITED deductions for capital expenditures - in the USA only. Otherwise, if a company or NGO spends the money, they have to justify it to their stockholders/boards of directors as a necessary expense.
That should go a long way towards clearing out the deadwood in many companies/organizations. If they can't deduct it, they will 'eat' the cost, if that person's job doesn't contribute to the bottom line.
